Gabrielle Jennings Break Her Own Steeplechase State Record, Earns All-American Honors

It might have been a state record, for for Gabrielle Jennings, the more notable accomplishment was earning All-American honors at the New Balance Outdoor National Championship meet in Greensboro, North Carolina.  Jennings finished 6th in the Championship heat of the 2000 Meter Steeplechase, earning the final All-American spot (and actually tying national caliber runner Stephanie Jenks who owns a 10:06 2 Mile PR).

She finished with a time of 7:03.52, breaking her own state record by 9 seconds which she set back in the regular season at the Texas Relays.  The Furman signee was already the AAU National XC Champion this year and capped her senior season with her 44th state championship.
