Michael Norman Over Josephus Lyles in First-Ever Race!
The Arcadia Invitational in California produced the first-ever match-up between Michael Norman of Vista Murrietta, Calif. and Josephus Lyles of T.C. Williams, Va., two sub-46 second 400m runners who rarely -- if ever -- see defeat. Who would come away with the win?
Both would run under 46 seconds but it was Norman who took the win, 45.51 to 45.94.
Junior Kaelin Roberts of Carson High School won the girls 400m in a new nation-leading time of 53.47.
