Texas A&M freshman Donavan Brazier is the hot topic in elite track and field right now after posting a mind-boggling 1:45.93 in the 800m to shatter the American Junior Record this weekend. The time nearly broke the NCAA indoor record.
Brazier was no slouch in high school: his outdoor PR of 1:47.55 ranks No. 4 on the U.S. All-Time List. He won New Balance Nationals Outdoor, the Brooks PR Invitational and three Michigan state titles.
In fact... this one time, he even nearly kicked down eventual sub-four minute miler Grant Fisher, widely regarded as one of the best prep milers in history. Watch it in the video above.
