Lauren Gregory of Fort Collins, Colorado will not race in the Foot Locker Nationals due to a stress fracture.
The junior qualified for Nike Cross Nationals per a runner-up finish at NXN Southwest, finishing second only to eventual champion Katie Rainsberger. The following weekend, she finished eighth at Foot Locker Midwest to advance to the San Diego championship.
Gregory did not appear at the NXN championship last weekend in Portland, Ore. and confirmed on Monday night that she will not race at Foot Locker this Saturday, due to a stress fracture in her foot.
The two-time cross country All-American placed seventh at NXN in 2013 and 11th at Foot Locker last fall. She is also a three-time state cross country champion.
