World Youth Champion Keshun Reed Commits To LSU!

Keshun Reed of Arlington-Martin, Texas announced his verbal commitment to Louisiana State University on Monday evening via Twitter.

"I've always wanted to go there," the 400-meter specialist said of the decision.

The defending Texas state champion in the 400 meters owns a personal best of 45.75 for the distance as well as a best of 21.39 for 200 meters. Reed already has international racing experience under his belt, as he placed third in the 400m at the IAAF World Youth Championships this summer.

Reed was also part of the gold medal-winning and world record-setting Mixed Gender 4x400-meter Relay at the event as he split 46.4 and paired with Lynna Irby [53.3], Norman Grimes [46.8] and Sammy Watson [53.1] teamed up to run the World Youth Best of 3:19.54 in the Mixed 4x400m Relay.
