On The Bubble: Top 10 Girls On The Verge Of Top 25

Madeleine Davison (Unattached, PA)

Madeleine Davison is the reigning Pennsylvania state champion for both 3k (9:47.93 PR) and 3200m (10:27.2 PR). She took third last year at the Pennsylvania State XC Championship behind Brianna Schwartz (graduated) and Olivia Sargent (Pre-Season No. 22) before taking fourth at Foot Locker Northeast to qualify for the Foot Locker Nationals, where she placed 40th. She is an All-American in the mile, as she placed third at the 2014 New Balance Nationals in 4:47.07. Davison is also taking on a new challenge in the classroom this fall, as the high-achieving student will take classes at the University of Pittsburgh. Davison is no longer eligible to compete within the PIAA and she plans to enter a few college invitationals before the post-season. This choice may leave her fresher for the post-season than her competitors who have a full prep schedule and must peak for both states and nationals.
