Daniels Runner-Up For Second Straight Year, St. Fort Third At Adidas Dream 100

Teahna Daniels told us in a workout before the Dream 100 that nobody wanted to win the race more than she did. After finishing runner-up last year behind Kaylin Whitney and being out run in the last 20 meters of the race, the University of Texas signee was hungry for the win. However, Candace Hill the sophomore sensation from Georgia had other ideas running a blazing 11.21 into a -1.5 m/s wind! Daniels was second in 11.50 with Golden South Classic winner Khalifa St. Fort behind her in third with a time of 11.62.

Chiles senior Avery Bartlett wasn't expecting to attend the Dream Mile at the start of the season and after suffering an injury midway through. Bartlett won 3A state titles in the 800 and 1600 and punched his ticket to New York after winning the Golden South Classic. The Georgia Tech signee was with the front pack with 200 to go, but just couldn't find the kick we are used to seeing. Bartlett finished sixth in 4:08.01.
