Highlights:

  • Everyone's talking about the adidas Dream Mile in New York next weekend, but not many people knew about the Alaska Dream Mile held on Saturday night in Kodiak. Multiple-time All-Americans Levi Thomet of Kodiak and Elijah Armstrong of Pocatello, Id. decided to go for personal bests in hopes of snagging the final invitation to New York. They teamed up with several collegiate and post-collegiate runners looking to push the pace. Jake Hurysz of the University of Colorado won in 4:06.15 as Armstrong finished runner-up with a new PR of US #7 4:07.15 to tie Andrew Hunter's best this year. Parker Stinson, a professional runner sponsored by Saucony and formerly of the University of Oregon, finished third in 4:09.52, closely followed by Thomet in 4:09.52. Thomet ran US #9 4:07 earlier this year at the Oregon Twilight.
