Boys Highlights:

Taj-Amir Torres takes first in both the 100 and 200m dash making him a four time state champion!

  • After losing to Joe Loungo of St. Johns Prep at the D1 meet, senior PJ Garmon of Billerica defends his 800m title with a time of 1:52.72. Lounge finished in 2nd with a time of 1:52.84.
  • Taj-Amir Torres of Amherst-Pelham took first in the boys 100m dash with a time of 10.69. That is his third state title in the 100m dash. Torres then came back to to win the 200m with a time of 21.40. Finally Torres had a come from behind win anchoring his school's winning 4x400m relay team with a time of 3:20.04 just barely beating out Andover who ran a 3:20.13.

Girls Highlights:

Senior state record holder Sierra Irvin defended her 400m title to become a three time state champion in the event!

  • State record holder Sierra Irvin (Hingham High) defended her 400m title running a 56.03. She is now a three time state champion in the 400m dash! Her state record time of 54.51 was run at last years state meet.
  • Brooke-Lynn Williams a sophomore from Norton won the 200m dash with a time of 24.93! She also placed second in the 100m (12.26) dash to Brianna Duncan of Cambridge Rindge (11.97). Along with her first place 100m dash finish, Duncan also took 1st in the long jump with a mark of 18-8.75.
