Devin Dixon of Eagle's Landing quickly took the lead 50 meters into the race. Frank Pittman of Marist and Tyler Jones from North Oconee (had a duel going on for the win) and the next 7 finishers all went sub 4:29 leaving it all on the Track. On a sad note, Harper Sigler may have strained/pulled a hamstring shortly into lap 2. Pittman and Jones fought it out until the final 300 when Frank made a move slowly pulling away with his footspeed and strength winning by 15 meters in 4:16.38. Jones ran a great race placing a strong 2nd for the Titans in 4:19. Some great racing transpired behind mirroring XC State with Quintin Miles of Norte' Hall winning by 1 second at 4:22 over Stephen Martinez of St.Pius X (4:23), Parker Nail from Whitewater HS ran to a 5th place finish at 4:25, followed by Devin Dixon of Eagle's Landing in 4:26.
