Leo Manzano 1:46.63 800m Meet Record kicks off Texas Relays!

Leo Manzano (Marble Falls, TX '04) talks to MileSplit after setting a Meet Record of 1:46.63 in the 800m at the 88th Nike Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays. The meet has special significance for Manzano as a former Longhorn. By the time he graduated in 2008, Manzano won five NCAA National Championships titles, nine All-American honors and held four school records in the indoor Mile (3:58.78), 1,500m (3:35.29) and indoor and outdoor Distance Medley Relay. The five-foot-five, 125-pound runner made his first Olympic team in 2008 and went on to win the silver medal in the 1,500m at the 2012 London Olympic Games. He is a two-time USATF National Champion in the 1,500m.
