Brandon Miles of MileSplit and Chris Chavez of Flotrack discuss their initial thoughts and reaction to Alexa Efraimson's decision to forgo her remaining high school and future college amateur eligibility to become a professional runner via signing a contract with Nike on Monday. She will be represented by agents from Flynn Sports Management, while finishing out her senior year at Camas High School in Washington. The US high school 1600 meter outdoor record holder Efraimson will likely attending a local college in the Northwest beyond this year to continue her studies and remains coached by her existing personal coach in Mike Hickey, the head coach at Clark College in Vancouver.
