Most Impressive NB Nationals Record Poll Winner: Desiree Freier (TX)

Last week, we asked MileSplit US site followers to vote on the most impressive national record breaking performance from the 2014 New Balance Nationals Indoor. Many deserving options to choose from after a historic number of 7 national records were set at this year's high school indoor national championship meet. After nearly 2,000 votes were tallied, we can confirm an official winner. Congratulations to Desiree Freier, a senior from Justin Northwest High School in Texas, who broke the United States high school indoor national record in the girls pole vault with a successful clearance at 14'2.75". The pole vault community was very active in the voting process as boys pole vault national record breaker Devin King (17'10.25" clearance at NBNI), a senior from Sumner High School in Louisiana, was a close runner-up in the final tally receiving 35.49% of the votes (707 votes total) compared to Freier with 41.87% of the votes (834 total)
