Carmel Boys Take Fifth in the Nation at Nike Cross Nationals

Carmel competed in today's NXN Meet in Portland Oregon and finished 5th in the Nation with 225 points.  Gig Harbor won with 111 points and was followed in the top ten by Christian Brothers Academy (139), Brentwood (174), Manlius (216), Carmel (225), St. Xavier of Ohio (228), American Fork (230), Spokane North (231), Arcadia (255) and Edina (263). Full resutls may be found on NXN.com.  Running for Carmel were Ben Veatch (28th in 15:32), Robert Browning (65th in 15:56), Ben Anderson (94th in 16:10), Michael George (97th in 16:11), Daniel Sechuga (108th in 16:17), Josh Horowitz (174th in 16:56) and Thomas Revard (195th in 18:10).  Congratulations also to the Carmel Girls who placed 4th thus allowing the combined Carmel programs to have the second best combined effort for schools qualifying both programs.
