As good as they have been, the Broughton boys have not had a "perfect race" all season. They will have one more chance on their home course.
November 30th is a busy day in North Carolina, as hordes of individuals descend on Charlotte while some of the nation's best teams converge on Cary for the Nike Cross Nationals Southeast Regional. The top two teams in each race automatically qualify for trips to Oregon for the only team national championship in our sport. NXN SE has also become a popular destination for individuals who don't choose Foot Locker South, as the top 5 runners who aren't on qualifying teams also get to visit the Nike campus and participate in the national race. North Carolina sent two individuals each of the last two years - Ben Huffman and Wesley Frazier in 2012, Sam Roberson and Erica Amatori in 2011 - but the last team to advance from the Tar Heel State was the Green Hope girls squad in 2010. Take a look at the teams that have signed up, ranging from contenders for national berths to schools just looking to close out their season with one more team event.
