Another year at Spillway. I was looking to hand Doug his ass on this one. But it just wasn't in the cards. I ran a warmup with Ms. Victorian and Eva on the end of the course. We ran the the course backwards for about a mile out and back. At the start, whilst listening to announcements, I thought my nads would melt right through my nutsack it was so freakin' hot. When the gun went off it wa the typical Spillway mad dash on the levee --a jillion little boys running like mad, way too fast. Oh! And there were a few girls as well, and one Mandingo character, bedecked in some sweet nut cutter, super short, denim shorts and a two inch wide leather belt. He was a huffing and puffing and blowing like a steam locomotive while trying desperately to keep up with, and probably stalking, Ms. Victorian. Mandingo, and quite a few of the little boys, died hard before descending the levee and entering the gauntlet. Doug was right in front of me. I passed Doug and another guy right after the gauntlet and tied to push the pace in order to put some time and a few bodies between Doug and me. I ran the switchbacks fairly hard and around 15 minutes into the race I glanced back to see if I'd gapped Doug at all. He was still right there, one person back. I was fading. With about a half mile to go Doug and the other guy, predictably, came around me and put some distance on me, about 15 seconds or so. I tried to hang on as best as I could, but to no avail. Doug got me, again!

It was fun though. The after party was really good as always with the TNA girls tearing it up and dancing like there was a brass pole on "stage" in the ever-scary Spillway Bar. I also got to meet Jace and a few of the Cougar's MILF's. I had a great time and can't wait to do it again. Yeah you right!
