Meet Information

MWKAC Conference Championship

The annual MWKAC Championship will be contested on Tuesday, May 1st at Apollo High School. Field events will begin at 5:00 and the 4x800m relay beginning at 5:15.

Ribbons will be given to the top six in each event.Team trophies will be given to the first and second place teams.



Entries are due Sunday, April 29th at Midnight. If you need help with your entries your localhigh school coach or your middle school cross country coach should be well versed at doing entries on Milesplit.

You may enter 2 athletes in each event. And each athlete may compete in a maximum of 4 events (this includes relays).

Admission will be $2.00 for students and $5.00 for adults. There will be concessions and t-shirts available so please tell your athletes to bring money.



Please look closely at how we will be contesting the long jump and the opening heights of the high jump.

MWKAC Order of Events

4:30 pm - Coaches meeting at the finish line.

5:00pm - Field events begin and will be contested in the following order:

Girls Shot Put followed by Girls Discus

Boys Discus followed by Boys Shot Put

Girls High Jump followed by Boys High Jump

Boys Long Jump followed by Girls Long Jump

5:00 pm - 6:00 pm - cafeteria style long jump for boys -

Everyone will get 3 jumps.No finals.

6:15 pm - 7:15 pm - cafeteria style long jump for girls -

Everyone will get 3 jumps.No finals.

NOTES:

Shot Put & Discus - 3 throws, no finals.

High Jump - opening height 3'8" girls & 4'0".

5:15 pm - Running finals begin and willbe contested in the following order: Girls then Boys.

NOTES:

We will run 2 heats of each individual lanedevent.The fast heat will be the second heat of each event.

When seeding the 100/110 hurdles, 100m dash, 200m dash, and 400m dash we will be putting the fastest entered runner from each school in the second heat, thus make sure the athlete you want in the 2nd heat has the faster entry time. If you do NOT enter a time for your athletes you run the risk of not having your fastest athlete in the fast heat.

We will run the 800, 1600, and 4x800 with a one turn stagger.

The 3 sprint relays will be run as normal.
