Welcome to the Gallup High School Cross Country Invitational which will be held on, September 30, 2017 at Red Rock State Park. Entry fee for each High school is $100.00. Entry fee for each mid-school is $30. Make check or money order out to Gallup High Cross Country, 1055 Rico Street, Gallup, NM. 87301. Team parking will be on the west side of the main parking area. Team camps can be set up between the start and finish behind the gated area that leads to the arena. Stickers (in packet) will be given to teams and will be used to score team results. Concession will be available. Parking fee will be $5 per car. Meet T-Shirts will be sold at $20 and are limited. Please provide me an e-mail address so that we can get results to you as soon as possible, my email is wnez@gmcs.k12.nm.us. We ask that you field a full team of 7 varsity runners before your Jr. Varsity (unlimited). Please email me a list of your athletes by Monday, September 18th, so we can prepare stickers and specific numbers for them, they do not have be in any specified category as varsity, jr. varsity.
This year our booster club will be hosting a mid-school race, the race will be 2 miles. If you have 8th graders running on your high school teams for 3A-6A, they will have to run JV, or Varsity races. (NMAA athletic rules) Ribbon awards to top 25 boys and top 25 girls in the mid-school races.
Time schedule for the meet is as follows:

Girls Mid-School Race 8:30 a.m. Unlimited
Boys Mid-School Race 9:00a.m. Unlimited
Varsity Girls 9:30 a.m. (7)
Varsity Boys 10:00 a.m. (7)
Jr. Varsity Girls 10:30 a.m. unlimited
Jr. Varsity Boys 11:00 a.m unlimited
Awards Ceremony 11:30 p.m.

Awards: Top 10 individual C-Team finishers both boys and girls.
Medals Top 15 individual Jr. Varsity finishers both boys and girls
Top 20 individual Varsity finishers both boys and girls
The top 3 teams in the Varsity races will receive team medals
