2017 Conference 19 Indoor Track & Field Championships

Rules: National Federation Edition of Track & Field Rules VHSL Handbook
Scoring: 10-8-6-4-2-1
Equipment: Starting Blocks will be furnished by meet management. All other equipment, team or personal, must be supplied by competing teams and individuals. All Shot Puts will be certified by the Meet Official. Spikes will not be allowed on any surface in the Ashe Center!
Uniform: Athletes are required to wear the official school uniform. Competitors numbers and hip numbers, if furnished, must be worn.
Dressing: Limited dressing facilities are available at the Ashe Center. You are strongly advised to come dressed to compete.
Entry: Each school may enter a maximum of three (3) entries for each individual event.
Limitations: Additional entries will be allowed provided ALL entries in that event meet the Conference, or Regional, or State qualifying standard. Each school is allowed only one (1) relay team per relay event.
Relay Teams: Relay teams will be officially declared on a relay declaration card when the team reports the clerk of course for check-in. At that time a maximum of six (6) athletes from the entry roster may be listed, any four (4) of which may run. The relay will count as an event only for those athletes who actually run. Make sure you list all possible relay legs in your online entry. Athletes entered in individual events need not be relisted as relay legs.
Entry Forms: All entries must be submitted online via the MileStat entry system no later than 5:00PM, Monday, February 6th. Only performances verified by the MileStat database for the current Indoor Season will be allowed for entry. All entries at the entry deadline are considered Declared and will count towards an athletes maximum number of events. We are following the same Declaration Rule as written in the VHSL Handbook.
Regional Meet Qualifying: The top six (6) finishers in each event and the three (3) relays teams from the conference meet and anyone meeting the 2017 Regional standards will advance.
We will be sharing the facility with Conference 20, who will be conducting their championship. See the time schedule.

- Louisa-Boys/Girls Pole Vault
- Courtland- Boys/Girls Shot
- Louisa-Hurdle Crew/Clerk
- Chancellor-Boys Long & Triple Jump
- Caroline- Girls Long & Triple Jump
- Eastern View Boys/Girls High Jump
We will need assistance from all schools with the exchange zones. The Jury of Appeals will consist of one coach from each school.
Entry Deadline: Online entries will close at 5:00PM, Monday, February 6th after which no additional entries will be accepted. All entries at the entry deadline are considered Declared and will count towards an athletes maximum number of events. We are following the same Declaration Rule as the VHSL State Meet.
Starting Heights: GHJ 4 2, BHJ 52, GPV 60, BPV 80
Athletes need to check in by second call. Horizontal Jumps and Throws: Four Trials, no finals.
Sportsmanship and Equipment forms will be filled out at the Coaches Meeting.
Qualifying Standards are on a separate attachment. Note: Change in Pole Vault Standards.

Scratches: Must be called in by noon on Sunday, February 7 , 2016.

High School. Any fees will be due with entries. Facility rental is $200 per
school; $500 for maintenance and clean up to be split by schools.

Pole Vault: Girls, 60, Boys, 80.
Pole Vaulters will be weighed in. Shoes must be worn for the weigh-in. If helmets are used they are also included in the weigh-in.
