We cordially invite you to participate in the 33rd Cougar Classic on Saturday April 9, 2016.
The meet will take place at our Underhill Field Complex. There will be awards for the top 3 places in all divisions. The track events will be highlighted this year by a trophy event in the 1st annual Lisa Morgan 4x800. There is no team title for this meet.
Field and track events will begin at 8:30am. The meet will be held rain or shine. In case of inclement weather, events will be run at the discretion of the meet directors. There is no rain date.
Please include a check with your entry, payable to C.C.I.O.T.C.
Automatic timing will be provided. Meet must be entered on njrunners.com (MileSpilt)

When entering the Field Event Relays (3 person) you must select 3 names from your roster. The names are used to total your invoice. When completing your running relays I will need (4) names for each running event, you may select up to (8). When you come to the meet enter any (4) runners on the relay card. When you fill in the runners for each event you are creating your TEAM ROSTER. Make sure I have all the names competing that day.

Refreshments will be sold at the meet.

RAIN OR SHINE
Once the meet starts, only athletes checked in to run will be allowed on the infield! Thanks in advance for your assistance in enforcing this rule.
1. Athletes wearing spikes are not permitted to wear spikes that extend more than from the sole of the racing shoe.
2. NFHS and NJSIAA rules will govern the meet. Only school-issued uniforms will be acceptable.
3. The referee and games committee will review any protests.
4. All throwing implements, batons and starting blocks must be supplied by participating schools.
5. Awards will consist of medals to all relay team members for the top three places in each division. In addition to medals the first place team will receive custom championship t-shirts. There will be special awards for the Lisa Morgan 4x800 race.
6. Shots, Discs, and Javelins will be checked prior to the events no nicks, dents, etc. on the implements.
7. All running relays will be final on time. We will seed each event that day based on realistic times projected for that day and on weather conditions. PLEASE BE HONEST IN SEEDING YOUR TEAMS.
8. All field relay teams are three person teams.
Shot Put three trials, NO FINALS. Each school is allowed 1 varsity boys teams, 1 varsity girls teams, 1 novice boys team, and 1 novice girls team. The frosh shot put will be contested with varsity shots.
Discus three trials, NO FINALS. Each school is allowed 1 varsity boys teams and 1 varsity girls teams. Javelin three trials, NO FINALS. Each school is allowed 1 varsity boys team and 1 varsity girls team. The boys event will be open flights from 8:30-11:30, girls open flights from 11:30-1:30, or at the conclusion of boys competition.
Long Jump three trials, NO FINALS. Each school is allowed 1 varsity boys team and 1 varsity girls team. The boys event will be an open pit from 9:00-11:00, girls open pit from 11:30-1:30, or at the conclusion of boys competition.
Triple Jump three trials, NO FINALS. Each school is allowed 1 varsity boys team and 1 varsity girls team. The girls event will be an open pit from 9:00-11:00, boys open pit from 11:30-1:30, or at the conclusion of girls competition.
High Jump SIX JUMP RULE. We will use two pit areas: frosh girls followed by varsity girls, each starting at 40. At the other pit, frosh boys will start at 46 and continue through the varsity boys. The bar will be raised at 2 increments for all divisions. Each school is allowed 1 varsity boys teams, 1 varsity girls teams, 1 novice boys team, and 1 novice girls team.
10. Please note and abide by the entry limitations on the entry form. Though some events allow schools to enter more than one team, only the team with the best performance will be designated as a scoring team.
