Eligibility: The Region 2A East Outdoor track meet will be limited to those individuals who placed in the top 6 and relays that placed in the top 3 in their conference meet or who met regional qualifying standards in a regional or state qualifying meet. We will use the Regional VHSL entry/verification form for all entries that cant be verified on Milestat and those not placing in top 6 in conference but meeting the regional qualifying standards.The form is on the VHSL site.(email to stevegeimanmgmt@gmail.com by meet entry deadline.

Entries: All entries to the Regional meet must be entered online at Milestat. If you use hand times, they must be rounded up to the nearest tenth, and adding .24. Scratches must be made by Monday, 12:00 noon, May 25, which is the declaration cut-off. We will follow the declaration rule for running events. You may scratch in a running event and still participate in following events with no penalty which also includes relays. However, if you are declared in your maximum number of events, you cannot scratch one of those and run in a relay. Athletes may participate only in events entered on your Milestat entry form. Please include your relay members and alternates on your roster or email them and alternates on the verification form. A performance list will be posted on Milestat after all entries are in for corrections and confirmation. Once all corrections are confirmed, the meet will be seeded and a meet program will be sent with all flights and heats.

Facilities: The East Rockingham track is 400 meters/8 lanes. The track surface is rubberized. The shot and discus circles are concrete. Flats or inch spikes may be used on the runways and track.. We will use the field edge for line-ups for each running event. During the entire meet only athletes competing in current and upcoming events will be allowed on the field edge. Warm-ups need to be done on the back straightaway or in the parking lot closest to the stadium. No one can be in the main school parking lot or East Rockingham High School. No coaches, parents or spectators will be allowed inside the track fence. Once the coaches meeting is over, all coaches and non-participating athletes need to be outside of the track fence. There are ample areas to see the field events.

Weighing of shot and discus will take place at the gate on Wednesday, May 27.Shots and discuses that are impounded may be picked up at the conclusion of the meet.

Admissions: Adults and K-12 students - $5.00 each. NO charge for pre-school children. State and Regional Activities passes will be honored. Programs will be sold for $2.00 each.

Athletes: All athletes must remain in the track area. Any athlete caught in East Rockingham will be disqualified from the meet.

Awards: Trophies will be presented to the Meet Champions and Meet Runner-up as soon as scores are validated. Individual awards can be picked up at the press box as soon as results are posted. The top 6 places and top 3 relay teams will receive medals.

Scoring: Individual - (8 places: 10, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1) Relays - (8 places: 10, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1)

Concessions: East Rockingham High School will operate a concession stand and will sell drinks and food items.

T-Shirts: T-shirts will be sold with athletes names as before.

State Track : Coaches, please note the following: State 2A Track entries will be done on Milestat. Check the entry deadline and make sure you have all relay members and alternates on your rosters. The top 6 individuals and the top 6 relays will move on to the State 2A Track Championships as well as those individuals and relays that have met the State qualifying standards in a meet of 10 teams or more.
