Forbes and Newton North Champions Again ! Jun 6, 2012

The knock on the All State Meet in Massachusetts has always been the same- having two stud athletes puts you in a position to win, even if you don't have much of a team to back them up. Heck, there was even one instance where, during indoor track, Medford's girls team led the meet going into the 4x400, with Arantxa King being the only athlete from the squad at the meet. Medford didn't need the bus that year, their team could have ridden in on a Segway Scooter or a Vespa.

Lampron Leads Mansfield to State Title Jun 5, 2012

Josh Lampron put together a stunning tune up for Saturday’s Dream Mile and more than proved he’s ready for an assault on the 4-minute mark after his record-breaking performance at yesterday evening’s MIAA State Track & Field Championships at Fitchburg State University. Lamron is the epitome of an athlete taking his talents to the next level. The Mansfield senior found the cool temperatures and calm conditions at Elliot Field to his liking as he pushed the pace from the gun in the 800 and drew away from Somerville’s Andre Rolim to break the 37-year-old meet record in 1 minute, 51.99 seconds. The record came an hour after Lampron sat on Marshfield’s Joel Hubbard and then surged into the lead with 300 meters for a stunningly easy 4:07.88 win. Hubbard never faltered in second, smashing his personal best with a 4:09.27. Framingham’s Ben Groleau finished third with a quick 4:14.53.

The Exchange Zone: All State Preview May 31, 2012

The "Exchange Zone" is back again, as two of the most knowledgeable Track Coaches around debate "12 " of the hottest topics in Massachusetts Track and Field.  The two Coaches with the gift of gab preview this weekends All State meet. They recap some of last weeks performances, along with several other "Hot" topics.  Coaches, Parents, and athletes please keep in mind this is all in good fun.  If the dynamic duo underestimates your team or athletes please don't heckle, send threatening messages, or physically assault them in anyway.  These two coaches did a phenomenal job at keeping balanced views and gave great insight to this weekends Championship meet. It's all positive exposure for our sport and the athletes.  Another great job by Coach Miller,  Coach Z, and Coach Rooney  !
