MileSplit is the nation's premier network for high school track & field and cross country. We believe that the heart of the sport is on a local, grassroots level. By facilitating the publishing and business process for our state webmasters, we are able to provide in depth state-by-state coverage of the sport. At the same time, these state portals feed content into a national database allowing us to provide an unprecedented depth of coverage on the national level as well.
Designed around powerful proprietary database software that unites all of the important aspects of covering the sport--results, rankings, articles, videos, photos, statistics, etc--MileSplit is the only online publisher in the sport with the tools to provide a high level of timely and comprehensive nationwide coverage.
MileSplit was founded in 2000 by then college sophomore Jason Byrne. It has continued to grow over the years, incorporating and adding Don Rich and Fred Finke to the corporate team in 2004. MileSplit was acquired by long-time advertising partner Flocasts (which calls Austin, TX its corporate home) in August of 2013.
The original corporate office of MileSplit, Inc. is located in the Sanlando Center in Longwood, Florida (just north of Orlando), overlooking the Seminole-Wekiva Trail. That office continues to operate as a technical and regional content hub as the Flocasts Orlando branch and the ceremonial headquarters of MileSplit.
We are enthusiastic about technology, trends, open source, LAMP architecture, and cloud computing. In September 2010 we migrated 100% to the cloud on the Amazon stack.
Today MileSplit reaches over one million unique users and more than 30 million page views per month during its peak season.
