We're almost done with the spring track and field season, and this past weekend we saw some of the top talent in the country throw down in their final meet state championship meet. It begs the question (again):
Which state is winning?
We have updated our virtual meet pitting the top athletes in each event in every state and scored them through our database. Keep in mind, these rankings are based off of personal bests in 2018.
What we've found might surprise you, and it might not. While Florida, Louisiana, Alabama and Arizona are done with their state seasons, much of the nation is still working toward their final meets of the season -- which means we will have one last national virtual meet after everyone is done.
But it does answer the question of, 'If we pitted each state's best athletes against each other, which state would win?'
