In order to put together a successful 400m squad, teams need depth. But do athletes who specialize in the 400m fare better in the 300m or 500m? We wanted to see how teams that are ranked in the top 10 in the 4x400 handle going up and down in distance.

Which teams have the most depth overall? Or which teams can put together successful 300m athletes and not 500m? When it comes to competing, coaches will train their athletes up and down in distance, especially over the indoor season.

Ultimately in this breakdown, we're trying to find what kind of efficiency teams get from their athletes at these distances and which distance actually means the most when it comes to creating a great 4x400 team.
