Who's the most versatile boys distance runner returning from last year?
We took a look at the best indoor boys 800m performances and compiled them alongside their performances in the 1600m and 3200m. Not coincidentally, we have three Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region runners earning the top spots -- those regions are most likely to run over the indoor season.
One name, Dalton Hengst, should ring a bell. He ran 8:28.51 in the 300m at the Yale Track Classic last January and finished fourth in the full mile at New Balance Nationals Indoor.
Note: Only athletes who had returning marks in all three categories were listed in this ranking.
