While the Saratoga Springs (NY) High girls raced to a new US No. 1 time in the DMR this weekend at the Glenn D. Loucks Games -- shocking last year's No. 1, North Rockland, in the process -- they still have ground to make up if they want to be considered one of the best squads over the last decade.

The unit would have to cut nearly 20 seconds off its winning time of 11:41.57 on May 11 to catch Harvard Westlake (Ca.), which ran a national record of 11:22.23 at New Balance Nationals Outdoor in 2011.

In the boys field over the last decade, St. Benedict's Prep ran the third fastest time of all-time in 2011, going 9:51.97 at New Balance Nationals Outdoor.
