PHILADELPHIA – The event that often draws the most excitement at track and field meets is the one-mile run. It should be no different this weekend (April 25-27) when some of the top prep milers from the northeast and beyond leg it out at the 119th annual Penn Relays Carnival, held at historic Franklin Field.

Here are some quick tips to help parents and runners find a camp that would best suit their interests, experience and abilities.

In this piece, we get to see the not-so-glamorous side of being a professional athlete and how not all professional athletes are created equal. Ryan speaks about the dedication and focus he has for running and why he devotes his life to such a sport.

Feinstein didn’t attend Sandy Hook as a youth, but he has familiarity with the school. His mom, Laura, is a teacher there. Fortunately, she was one of the lucky ones that survived the massacre.

Heading into Saturday's Foot Locker Cross Country Championships, many of the qualifiers have compiled a treasure trove of starting line time in the nation's most prestigious season-ending races. Thanks to their performances in Charlotte and Kenosha, a dozen Foot Locker Finalists from the South and Midwest are competing with the nation's best for the second time in eight days.

The afternoon of October 20, 1981, was sunny and breezy, 60 degrees at Montgomery County Community College. The teenager out there running was a future two-time Olympic 800-meter medalist - the best middle-distance runner this area has ever produced. This 17-year-old had a resting heart rate that day of 62. Her left foot hurt her sometimes in the front "near the toes," but only when she walked, not running.
