Florida was expected to qualify multiple boys for Footlocker Cross Country Nationals in Orlando, but it didn't happen. Kara Scanlin and Jessica Hellender represented Florida nicely and both won a top eight spot to qualify.

While Virginia has a handful of male runners who have a decent shot at making the top 8 at the Foot Locker South Region Meet, the girls will have a harder time trying to fit in a few runners into that top 8 as the girl's field should be very competitive.
Last year's runnerup Lockhart looks to be a lock and pre-race favorite, but the rest of the top 8 looks to be a crapshoot with the best of the South.
