Shayla Sanders Video Interview

Unfortunately, Shayla's interview with us was cut short... she started to feel light-headed and dizzy in the middle of it and had to sit down. Great job today!

Lily Williams Makes History: State Record Mile

Chiles senior Lily Williams followed in the footsteps of Shelby Hayes. Two years ago Hayes represented Florida in the first Dream Mile and came home with a state record in the event. In 2012, Williams bested that time by Hayes with a new state record of her own! Lily finished in sixth place in the deepest ever field in the event that saw three go under 4:40. Lily finished in 4:42.79, which topped the former state record by .21. The time converts to a 4:41.15 1600m.

Previously Levonte said he was going after Junior Nationals next weekend, but in the interview tonight he said he is going to wrap it up this summer and start training for football season. So until next spring, great job Levonte!

Marvin Bracy did not compete and Tyreek Hill, who Whitfield narrowly defeated at Golden South, DQed in the race.
