Eaton and (Huff) High to Run in the Olympic Marathon Trials

 

Former Greenwood and University of Louisville great Michael Eaton will compete in the US Olympic Marathon Trials is Houston, Texas on Saturday.  Eaton, the Kentucky State Cross Country Record Holder on the old Horse Park course qualified for the trials by finishing 20th overall at the Rock & Roll Half Marathon in Philadelphia with a 1:04:36 for the 13.1 Mile course. 

Another former Kentucky high school runner will compete in the trials as well.  Former Franklin-Simpson runner Renee (Huff) High qualified with a time of 2:45:29 at the Chicago Marathon.  High finished 22nd  her senior year at the Kentucky State Cross Country Meet.  She went on to compete at Western Kentucky University after high school.
