Mendham swept the team titles, Abby Loveys ran the second fastest time in course history, and Jack Stanley blasted the top boys time to highlight the Large School races at the NJAC Championships on Tuesday at Greystone in Morris Plains.

In the Small School races, Jared Cooper finished first to lead the Mountain Lakes boys to the title, and Sarah Hanifin's victory sparked Villa Walsh to the girls championship.

In the girls Large School race, Loveys, a senior at Randolph, continued her undefeated season by rolling to victory in 17:27. That's No. 2 in course history behind the 17:24 run by Alexa Westley of Warren Hills at the N.J. Sec. 2 Group 3 meet last year. Look for Loveys to really crank it up and take down that course record when she races at the Morris County Championships next Tuesday at Greystone.

The Mendham girls put its scoring five in the top 13 and averaged 19:50 en route to a 49-77 victory over runner-up Randolph. Mendham was led by freshman Madison Orlins, fifth in 18:56.

The best team performance of the meet belonged to the NJ #5 Mendham boys, who it up the course behind the Jack Attack of (Jack) Stanley and Jack Jennings.

Stanley, the state Group 3 champion last year, finished first in 15:35 and Jennings was second in 15:39 to lead a 1-2-8-12-14 finish for Mendham, which outscored Morris Hills 38-65. Mendham averaged 16:05 and had a 1-5 split of 59 seconds.

In the Small School races, Cooper ran 15:58 to lead a 1-5-15-22-26 finish for the Mountain Lakes boys, which outscored North Warren, 69-91. In the girls race, Hanifin crossed first in 18:47 for Villa Walsh, which put three runners ahead of the No. 2 runner from Mountain Lakes to edge Mountain Lakes, 57-61.
