What was your most memorable race/competition?

My most memorable competition had to have been my first PIAA State Track and Field visit my sophomore year. I was ranked 9th and finished 3rd, it changed the directory of my future.

Where did you face your biggest competition?

I faced my biggest competition at New Balance National Outdoor Track Meets. Girls as far as Kansas came to compete.

Out of all of your high school accomplishments, which stands out the most?

My sixth place medal from New Balance Nationals stands out the most to be. After 3 years, I finally earned a spot on the award stand. Besides being the first one from my small school (Moniteau) to gain All-American honors, it taught me to never give up and believe in myself.

If you could do it all over again, what would you change about your athletic career in high school?

Nothing. Everything that has happened has happened. I could dwell on it, but I choose to learn from it to better myself for the future.

What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?

The hardest obstacle for me was keeping a steady mentality. Not everyday is a good day, but you have to be keep striving.

What will you miss the most?

My throwing family. They know who they are, and they mean the world to me.

Do you have any advice for younger athletes?

The only person who is stopping you is yourself. Don't give up, and never lose touch of the event you fell in love with.

How have your coaches influenced your performances and your life goals overall?

I would not be where I am without them. They helped change the entire direction of my future. Now I get to continue my love for throwing at YSU for the next 4 years.

What are your post-high school plans?

Attend Youngstown State University. I will be majoring in Nursing. I will also be throwing javelin and hammer for the Women's Track Team.

Any shoutouts?

First, I'd like to give a shoutout to my parents who did everything they could for my track career. Secondly, the coaching staff at Moniteau High School. Third, my throwing coach specifically Ryan Protzman who transformed me into the thrower I am today. Lastly, my boyfriend, friends, and family who supported me along the way.
