The Top 10 Track And Field Recruiting Classes Of 2018

No. 3: University of Georgia

Recruits: Sam Bowers, Elija Godwin, Kyle Garland, Imani Carothers, Titiana Marsh

The Skinny: The Bulldogs, who were No. 1 in our early signing period ranking, no doubt have star power and depth. That starts with Kyle Garland, a Germantown Academy (PA) High senior with tremendous potential in the decathlon, and goes on and on with distance talent Sam Bowers, sprinter Elija Godwin, and jumper Titiana Marsh, who finished the Virginia outdoor season in 2017 with the farthest mark in the triple jump at 43-5 -- and third-farthest in the country. Carothers, the talented hurdler and jumper from Illinois, adds to the mix. She's run sub-14 in the 100mH, has long jumped over 20 feet and over 44 feet in the triple jump. And depending on where one of the state's top heptathletes, Sterling Lester, ends up next fall -- based on location alone, the Bulldogs should be in the mix -- this class could get even better.
