The Scoop: 16 Boys Break 9 Minutes At Arcadia

Austin Kratz picked up right where he left off after the indoor season.

The Dock Mennonite senior made his trip to California and the Arcadia Invitational worth it by capturing a pair of wins in the sprints and running a pair of the fastest times in Pennsylvania state history.

Kratz started his night off by winning the 100 meters in 10.34 (T-US No. 4). Then he came back and capped off the meet with a win in the 200 meters, running a time of 20.74 (US No. 3). Kratz matched up in the 100 and 200 meters with another one of the nation's top sprinters, Eric Allen Jr. of Bullis School (MD), who he saw at indoor nationals. Kratz had the advantage once again.
