Hasty Comes Up Short In Third Attempt At Sub-4 Mile
In his third attempt at breaking the treasured sub-4 minute barrier indoors, Brentwood (TN) Track Club's Brodey Hasty came up just short, finishing through the line in a time of 4:04.98 at the Last Chance Invitational at Boston University.
And it came just three weeks off his best attempt, an effort of 4:00.05 at The Millrose Games which gave him the 11th fastest mile all-time, indoors or outdoors.
Hasty, an Oregon recruit, finished 10th overall in a talented fast section at Boston, watching as nine athletes broke four minutes, including two, Hayato Seki and Rob Napolitano, who went 3:59.03 and 3:59.49, respectively.
Hasty has now logged the three fastest mile times this indoor season.
