"I'm beyond excited and grateful for this incredible opportunity. To be able to represent Team USA this year as a junior is such an honor! I think a potential challenge are the two weeks break I'll take that will follow the race, knowing that will partially cut into training for track season. I know it'll take a few weeks to build up my base once again, but I wouldn't miss this opportunity for that reason.

"My biggest goal is to challenge myself in this new type of racing. I've never raced in the kind of weather or conditions that Edinburgh has in store, so I expect it will be very fun and very cold! I hope to have an amazing experience being able to travel abroad and race internationally with my teammates."

"I'm so excited to race for Team USA! It has been a dream of mine for a long time and the fact that I get to compete for my country and do the thing I love is just an amazing opportunity. There actually haven't been many challenges as I took time off and then have started training again hoping to use this race as almost a kickoff to my track season. It has worked out perfectly! I don't really have any specific goals. I just want to go in relaxed  and am really hoping to represent the USA well! I'm really looking forward to running with great talent. I think also just the whole experience will give me a perspective on what it's like to compete on a really big level and run for my country."

"Wearing the red, white and blue is a great honor and I can only hope that I will represent our country well. The USA has allowed me to have so many opportunities and I am grateful to be a citizen and competitor for this nation. Training for cross country this late in the season has been difficult because the grass and trails have been covered in snow, but my coaches and I have been doing our best to keep me in shape for a 4K race. I don't have any specific time/place goals for the race. I just intend to run as fast as I can! I've never raced out of the country before, and I hope to gain international experience from the trip. I also look forward to being a member of a team with so many great runners around the nation."
