9. Wesley Schiek, Oshkosh North (WI)
Schiek finished second only to Meinke at the Fond Du Lac Invitational and was once again second in the Wisconsin state meet behind Bosley. Running against and finishing near such stiff competition, Schiek has proved his ability and could be a threat at Heartland if he has one of his best races of the season.
He holds a season PR of 15:25, which gives him the 12th fastest time in the race. He's also been gradually improving over the course of the last couple of races, after his times were quite sporadic in the beginning part of the season. If he's able to continue this trend, a trip to nationals is not too far of a reach.
