Why: Lightfoot vaulted 17-8.5 back in June, making him the top returning pole vaulter in the nation not named Armand Duplantis. He's the reigning Missouri state champion, he placed second to Mondo at New Balance Nationals Indoor in March, and he has a USATF Junior Olympic title to his name.
