Weekend Rundown: Great Oak Boys Power Past Competition For Win At Mt. SAC

With an impressive display of pack running, the Great Oak (CA) girls, ranked No. 3 in the Flo50 national rankings, won their fourth-straight Mt. SAC Invitational Division I/Division 2 Team Sweepstakes title, scoring 45 points against Claremont's 68. 

The Wolfpack had four in the top 15 and its sixth finished 16th. 

Sophomore Tori Gaitan earned her second victory of the season with an effort of 16:52.00, while junior Fatima Cortes was fourth in 17:09.00 and senior Sandra Pflughoft was 11th in 17:45.00. 

Rounding out the Wolfpack's top five was Arianna Griffiths, who was 13th in 17:56, and Audrey Dang, who was sixth in 18:04.00.

Claremont had a solid showing through the top 15 places, pushing three runners through, including sixth-place Sydney Hwang in 17:31.00, though its fourth and fifth followed in 18th and 19th. 

Vista Murrieta was third with 125 points.
