5. Robert Muse-Myers Didn't Hesitate To Tell His Life Story

Robert Muse-Myers' cross country season ended on Saturday in Indiana, just two meets away from the state meet.

But in reality, the Lebanon High senior was fine with the outcome of his final race.

As a feature in The Indy Star that week detailed, Muse-Myers had overcome a lot in his life to get where he was in that moment, and his response to setbacks ultimately changed him in ways that raised him up.

When he was approached by The Indy Star to do the story, he immediately agreed, he told Becca Atchley of Indiana MileSplit, before adding: "One of my intentions for the article was to inspire others."

"Through cross country and through some of the hardships, I've learned that as humans we can be so much more than what we actually think we are," he said.
