Loudoun Valley Crushes Great American Cross Country Festival

The Loudoun Valley (VA) boys continue to crush their competition. This Saturday at the Great American Cross Country Festival, they scored 62 points to take the win over other ranked teams Green Hope (NC) and St. Xavier (KY)

Loudoun Valley was led by senior Peter Morris, who placed fifth in the loaded field running 15:04.6; behind him by five seconds was teammate Sam Affolder who ran 15:09.1. Rounding out their top five were Jacob Hunter in 11th, Colton Bogucki in 13th, and Connor Wells in 60th. 

Flo50-ranked No. 9 Green Hope took second while Flo50 No. 11-ranked St. Xavier (KY) took third. The teams scored 187 and 128 points respectively.  

The individual win was taken by McDonogh Shool's (MD) Dalton Hengst who ran 14:57.1.

On the girls side, Kelsey Chmiel from Saratoga Springs, New York, took home the individual win by running 16:50.3. Her time was 36 seconds ahead of second place.

The ladies from Blacksburg (VA) took home the team title scoring 115 points.
