Light Day Five At AAU Junior Olympic Games Produce Several Finalists

Enjoy day 5 AAU Junior Olympic Games

It was a light work day in general for many athletes in the state of Illinois. However, there were several gems in the midst.

  • Ron Reed (Decatur McArthur) earns bid to the Men's 100m 17-18 final with a time of 10.80. Reed's time is a personal best and he conducted it against a stiff head wind.
  • Josh Bridges (Homewood-Flossmoor) continued to sprint on the edge with another nail biter in the 100m. Bridges got the final berth for the 15-16 boys with a time of 11.00
  • Donovan Turner (Neuqua Valley) advanced to 110HH boys 15-16 finals with 14.96 (-0.7)
  • Evangelynn Harris (E. St. Louis Sr.) grabs third place medal in Women's 17-18 shot put w/43-11.25
