Courtney Jacobsen finished sixth overall in the women's hammer throw at the Pan American Junior Championship, held Sunday in Peru. The former Toll Gate all-stater turned in a respectful effort on the international level with a heave of 192 feet, 3 inches.
The 19-year-old Jacobsen, the rising sophomore from the University of Michigan, was the only American in the field. Winning the individual title was Canada's Camryn Rogers with a distance of 208-1.
