Mansfield Lake Ridge junior, Jasmine Moore finished 3rd in the 2017 Pan American Games today in Triple Jump.

Jasmine Moore was 1 of only 2 16-year-olds in the field today at the Pan American Games, and showed everyone that age does not matter. Coming into the event, she had the 5th best seed out of the 11 competitors. This was Jasmine's first performance at an event of this caliber, but if she continues to perform like she has been it will not be her last.

"Today was a great day of competition, I jumped 43-5. It was great to have both members of Team USA medal today!" Moore said when asked about today's competition.

Jamie Robinson, who currently holds the US No 1 in Triple Jump and will continue her career at the University of Alabama, beat Moore by 0.27m. Moore and Robinson have competed head to head 1 time this season in Outdoor Triple Hump, as well as multiple times before this. Moore and Robinson go back and forth defeating each other.

Medaling at the Pan American Games was a fantastic way for Jasmine Moore to finish off her 2017 track season, which was full of records and medals.
