Inside Look: Anthony Schwartz Pan American Junior Championships Training Log

Anthony Schwartz was the anchor for one of the best 4x100m relay teams in the country this year at American Heritage and clocked the fastest 100m time of the year at the Florida Relays. His 10.15 made him the sixth fastest performer ever in high school history.

An unfortunate injury sidelined the two-sport standout for most of the finals of the state meet and put his team one point shy of a team title. However, Schwartz bounced back and went onto finish as the Dream 100 runner-up, New Balance Nationals 100m champion, 200m runner-up, and was fourth at USA Juniors in the 100m dash earning him a spot on the 4x100m relay.

"I've just been keeping my speed up, doing less sets in faster time," he told us about his training. "I'm very excited to run my first meet for Team USA and represent Florida. I'm looking forward to seeing how different everything is in other countries and to get to know all the future stars.I'm hoping we can run low 38 or high 37's."

American Heritage Coach Greg Barnes fills us in on his pre-meet preparation and training log.
