Ohio Race Walkers are set to compete at the Pan American Junior Athletics Championships

           Cameron Haught & Taylor Ewert will compete at the Pan-Am Junior Athletics Championships.  


Cameron Haught and Taylor Ewert will compete in the 10k Race Walk event at this weekend's Pan American Junior Championships which will take place in Trujillo, Peru.  

Cameron Haught, a recent graduate of Yellow Springs High School, brings a stellar race walking resume with him to Peru.  He is the reigning USATF Junior National Outdoor champion at the 10k distance and he is a three time New Balance Nationals Indoor winner at the 1 Mile distance.  Haught also claimed the 1 Mile title at the New Balance Nationals Outdoor in 2015.    


           Cameron Haught has posted impressive results in the 1 Mile, 3k and 10k Race Walk events.

3k Race Walk - 12:56.70

1 Mile Race Walk (indoor) - 6:12.00

1 Mile Race Walk (outdoor) - 6:46.23

* The 10k Race Walk event takes place on Friday, July 21st at 8:30 a.m. EDT.   


Taylor Ewert, who is entering her sophomore year at Beavercreek High School, has had quite a summer, as she's recorded wins in the 10k Race Walk at the USATF Junior National Outdoor Track & Field Championships and in the 3K Race Walk at the New Balance Nationals Outdoor.  Ewert will look to follow up these impressive performances with a strong showing in Peru.    


           Taylor Ewert also competes in XC, 1600m, 3200m and 2k Steeplechase events.
