Watch The Elite Boys Hurdles At The Great Southwest



The 42nd Great Southwest Track and Field Classic had every state bringing their best to try to take down Team Texas. Coming into the meet, there was no secret that the 300H was going to be one of the top races and Texas had two of it's very best. With U.S. #1 Thomas Burns of Florida, U.S. #2 Charles Brockman III, and U.S. #5 Eric Edwards, The race did not disappoint. All three guys kept their national rankings, but their times just got faster with Burns and Brockman III running some top all-time marks. Noah Greeen of Kansas also jumped up to U.S. #6 in that race.

That wasn't the only hurdle race with big time runners. The boys 110H once again featured Edwards who is the U.S. #3 hurdler in the 110s. Edwards, the Houston Langham Creek junior battled Arizona state champ and U.S. #11 Trey Johnson. Johnson came in running well after leading his Arizona shuttle hurdle relay squad to a new Great Southwest Classic record and he also placed 5th in the 100m with a 10.68 earlier in the day. U.S. # 14 Green of Kansas was also in this race.

Watch, the athletes treated the spectators to two of the best races of the entire meet.
