In the final 200m of last weekend's 1600m at the Lovejoy Invitational, we witnessed quite the kick from Hebron senior Hannah Pettigrew to take the win in the final stretch. With 300m to go Pettigrew was sitting in 2nd where she had been the majority of the race, with a little more than 200m to go her teammate Nevaeh Pantoja flew by her. After that Pettigrew kicked in the jets and passed both Pantoja and Hockaday's Lizzie Raff who had led the majority of the final lap. In the last 50 meters, Pettigrew had opened up a sizable gap to take home the win. Watch how the whole race played out here.
