Foot Locker Nationals Recap: Noah Affolder Takes 6th in the Country

Carlisle's Noah Affolder placed sixth overall at Foot Locker Nationals, making him the highest placed Pennsylvania boys' finisher at the national meet since Christopher Dugan of Southmoreland was also sixth in 1996 (Upper Perkiomen's Mike Connelly is the top PA boys' finisher at the meet when he was second in 1982).

Affolder, a senior who moved to PA from New York this past summer, ran a time of 15:10.40, just mere tenths off fifth place Alex Maier from Texas. Affolder was 15th last year at this meet as a junior. He was the PIAA Class-AAA state champion as well as Foot Locker Northeast Regional champ. Watch the boys' race below:

Quaker Valley's Zach Skolnekovich was the next PA runner across. The William & Mary-bound Skolnekovich placed 28th in a time of 15:45. JP McCaskey's Nathan Henderson was 39th in 16:11 and Carlisle's Sam Affolder was 40th in 16:12.
